Writing what you know; what you feel in your gut instincts are akin to the sensations of ecclesiastical pop nirvana when Madonna rocks her opus ‘Like A Prayer.’ Now, we are not Madonna, but we understand her catharsis in belting words that bare her soul in the medium that makes her most at home. For us, that medium is the written word through a cross-genre perspective. In the case of our newest story, CATHEDRAL 1 A.M., whose draft was finished just today, it is an expression of surreal religious horror that makes us feel true to our soul. A soul searching journey into the all too strange realm of the Catholic Church at the witching hour of Judgment, this story is going to take us and hopefully someday audiences into a whole new realm of thought and spook. Right now, we’re going to celebrate completing the draft of an honest to God novella, woo hoo!

SCRY FOR HELP: A Novella of Grief
by Aaron Eischeid
Coming October 22, 2019
Picture It
Are you a photographer with a cinematic eye and supernatural conscience?
If you are, Paradigm Shift Productions is seeking you to join the creative team behind ghoulish author Aaron Eischeid’s upcoming novella, SCRY FOR HELP!
First, the story:
Jamie is dead and his boyfriend, Nate, cannot let him go because who said Jamie was gone? In an emotional, spook-laden spiral through the stages of mourning, Nate must confront the specters that haunt his life, those around him and within the lurking planes of a netherworld entirely unknown to humanity until Nate, himself, recklessly summons them through a looking glass in an attempt to revive the only soul he ever loved that just may end up killing what is left of it.
Second, the gig:
We are seeking 1) a professional photographer to capture the novella’s cover art, a cover meant to entice and immediately strike a moody atmosphere of haunting dread to alert potential readers what they are in for. The images will be shot with a small team (if you have a team, they are welcome) and will involve special makeup effects (background in that too is delightful but not required) as well as live candles (so must not be afraid of a little controlled flame).
2) Said photographer to also take author headshots within the following concept: if Cher clashed with Clive Barker and wrote a book; glamour and gore — indivisible.
This is a paid opportunity, compensation discussed upon interview.
Third, how to apply:
Send your qualifications, work samples and inquiry to paradigmshiftprods@gmail.com and a production representative will reach out!
We look forward to hearing from you!
Cerulean & Cookies
Did you know SCRY FOR HELP author Aaron Eischeid is also known as the Domestic Goddess?
Did you know ghostly Jamie’s favorite color is the magical, majestic cerulean?
Loves and passions collide in the novella-inspired Blueberry Thumbprint Cookies cooked up from scratch in our Chicago kitchen:
Now, a Domestic Goddess rarely reveals her secrets. However, the responses to the Blueberry Thumbprint Cookies were so overwhelming that a recipe was requested posthaste. In the tradition of sharing, it is a pleasure to spread the joy of this concoction for all to make and twist with their own special variants, for thumbprints can be done with just about any filling your sweet tooth desires!
Bon voyage et bon appetit!
